LiquidChefs, AKA Liquids, is one of the many prominent, pocket places in Rosebank, Johannesburg. It is the perfect escape for both the working class and the allowance class – yes, I’m talking about students. The thing about having a cocktail bar, lounge and café in The Zone in Rosebank, is that after a long, shopping escapade one needs to relax and unwind and this can be done by simply stepping into the Liquid world and embracing the Liquid Culture.
First things first though: LiquidChefs is not for the boring and stagnant! It’s for the young and sexy, bold and crazy, as well as fun and friendly. It’s a small and intimate place. One can’t help but notice the ambience filling the room and the diverse culture being the blanket that covers the scenery.
After acquainting myself with this exceptional place and gelling with the atmosphere while tapping into the corners and spaces of incredible strangers, my friends and I decided to indulge in a little bit of alcohol.
After critically analyzing the Cocktail menu, we all decide to allow a little bit of Mojito, Long Island, Cosmo and well… a few tequila shots as well as Tirimasu shots in our systems. The music clawed itself on our bodies and we couldn’t help but blow the DJ a kiss. The digital screens brightened up the scenery – one second we were captivated in ultimate relaxation, the next, music invited us to dance-talk about an unexpected transition.
LiquidChefs is an all rounded place I tell you.
It is a colour-wheel of all sorts of fun and enjoyment, from the tasty foods, such as the Chinese chicken salad to the Liquid Cocktail menu that is bound to leave you salivating carelessly over both the barmen, as well as the variety of drinks!
It is a place that is filled with passion and excitement. It is a place where business and pleasure get excited to meet. It has managed to keep up with the ever-evolving cyber culture and has planted its trademark (mobile bars) in places such as Botswana, Mauritius, Seychelles, London and trust me, the list can go on. Liquids has managed to encapsulate the spirit of its brand: Living Life Liquid.
After a long night of being a part of the Liquid Identity, I decided to call it a ‘morning’. One has to be in a Liquid Mood, in order to fathom Liquid Living.
